Privacy notice

This page is a courtesy summary in English. The legally binding version is the German Datenschutzerklärung. In case of any difference, the German version prevails.

Who is responsible

Sofya Vaughan-Birch, Rumo Consulting, Pestalozzistr. 38, 13187 Berlin, Germany. E-mail: hello@rumoconsulting.com

What we process, and why

Visiting this website. Our site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA). When you open a page, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data such as your IP address and the time of access in server logs, on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a secure and stable website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log data is kept for a maximum of 30 days, except where longer retention is needed to investigate a specific incident.

Fonts. We load the Space Grotesk typeface from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited). To deliver the font files, your browser transmits your IP address and technical request data to Google. Details, including third-country transfer safeguards, are described in the German version.

Contact form and e-mail. If you use the contact form, the details you enter (name, e-mail address, message) are processed via our hosting provider Netlify and forwarded to us so that we can handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual enquiries, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The same applies if you contact us by e-mail. We delete enquiry data once it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention duties apply.

Clients and business partners. If we work together, we process the contact, contract, and billing data needed to prepare, perform, and account for the engagement (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). Commercial and tax law require us to retain certain records for statutory periods.

Cookies and tracking. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tracking.

International transfers

Some of our service providers (for example Netlify and Google) may process data in the USA. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or EU standard contractual clauses, as set out in the German version.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@rumoconsulting.com.

Updates

We update this notice when our actual data processing changes. The authoritative, complete, and current version is always the German Datenschutzerklärung.
